Who we are

Wired Consulting is led by academic learning specialist - Jackie Ede.

Jackie worked as a specialist academic learning adviser for neurodiverse students within Inclusive Learning at the University of Auckland for 17 years. Over this time, she assisted hundreds of neurodiverse students at all points of their learning pathways, from secondary school through to doctoral studies. Jackie has a Master of Arts in Education (First Class Honours) with a dissertation in Applied Behavioural Analysis.

Note from Jackie: I live in a neurodiverse family and am Mum to gifted/dyslexic twins. I understand the lived experience of being different. I recognise neurodiversity as a gift to be cherished. I am curious. I am straight-talking and pragmatic. I ask the hard questions with kindness.

Why Wired? ‘Wired’ was a natural fit for the business name:

1) I connect strongly with the idea of people being ‘wired differently’,

2) My three kids have never been able to spell the word Wired (i.e., is it weird, wierd or wired?), so I am honouring their learning journey in a light-hearted way,

3) I have wiry hair and lots of upbeat energy!
