Who we are
Wired Consulting is led by neurodiversity expert - Jackie Ede.
Jackie worked as a specialist academic learning adviser for neurodivergent students within Inclusive Learning at the University of Auckland for 17 years. Over this time, she supported hundreds of neurodiverse students at all points of their learning pathways, from secondary school through to doctoral studies. Most recently, Jackie has assisted multiple people in the workplace, enabling them to make the most of their unique thinking and achieve their goals. Jackie has a Master of Arts in Education (First Class Honours) with a dissertation in Applied Behavioural Analysis.
Note from Jackie: I live in a neurodivergent family so I understand the lived experience of being different. My learning specialist background, paired with insights from the lived experience of clients and whānau, brings unique credibility to how I approach neurodivergence. I am straight-talking, pragmatic, and ask the hard questions with kindness.
Why Wired?
1) I connect strongly with the idea of people being ‘wired differently’,
2) My three kids have never been able to spell the word Wired (i.e., is it weird, wierd or wired?), so it honours their learning journey in a light-hearted way,
3) I have wiry hair and lots of upbeat energy!
